I have worked in journalism since 1993, reporting on news and features at the Centre Daily Times in State College Pa. and later for the Augusta (Ga.) Chronicle. Then I moved to New York City, where I worked at a magazine called Art & Antiques and a technology publication called On, before joining Sports Illustrated. I worked at Sports Illustrated as a staff reporter and editor from 2002-2009, and my work there greatly informed my novel Hangman's Game.
Since 2010 I have continued to work for Sports Illustrated and (what was known as) Time Inc. Books, editing and writing for more than 20 books and special issues. Coming publications include The Story of Baseball in 100 Pictures (coffeetable, sophisticated) and SI Kids Sports Atlas (includes many mascot tales-of-the-tape) in the fall of 2018.
In 2016 I married Jennifer Weiner. That was good. Hello, fans of Jen! Hello everyone!
Thanks for visiting.
